News: Busy With Lots of New Content!

Hi all!

I haven't updated my blog in a little bit so I thought I'd let you know what I've been up to:

  1. YouTube Channel!
    • I have content planned for the next month and sticking to my weekly video cadence! Viewership is slowly rising but have seen a large influx in the last couple of days, largely thanks to the Oculus Rift and Intel HD 530 gaming. I have a new build that I will putting together for a video in the next week or so. It's an exciting time for sure!
  2. Reviews
    • I have a few regular reviews that I am doing that got me where I am today, so stay tuned for several of those in the next couple of weeks as well.
  3. Blog
    • The blog has been in the background quietly working for me to support the channel, but from today I plan on doing a weekly post, at a minimum, what I'm up to and what you have to look forward to as well as tech and PC related content.
Thank you all for your support for the blog and channel, I would not be where I am right now with you. If you haven't already, please subscribe to the channel here.

Working on Episode 4 - Recovering From Strep Throat - Big Improvements Coming to the Channel

Hi everyone!

I had a minor slowdown thanks to a wonderful disease called strep throat. It knocked me out flat cold, even to the point that playing video games was too strenuous (#FWP). This set my channel back a couple of days, but fear not, my next episode should launch in the next couple of days. I thought I would get right to the fun stuff and benchmark my machine "Bahamut" comparing stock settings to overclocked settings. Fun stuff!

I also have some good talent working on a professional intro video to my channel and I couldn't be more excited! You'll know when it hits because it will be awesome.

What else? Hmmmmmm, well, I still have some videos in the pipeline that are ready to go and I am planning on future episodes and builds.

I am also trying to build my veiwership, so I would appreciate any help in spreading the word. I am also looking for constructive criticism (not that you need to ask for it on public projects) to help my channel grow.

Stay tuned for more PC-centric content!

News: Videos Coming Shortly!

Over the past month or so I have been hard at work getting a good video setup for YouTube videos for unboxings, reviews, and computer builds. I have invested in some fancy lights and software and have been playing around with setups, capturing video, and editing. I'm sure my style will change as time goes on, but these first couple of videos represent lots of preparation and work behind the scenes. I hope you enjoy the next chapter of Goto Tech Reviews. Stay tuned for some upcoming content!

News: Still Working on YouTube Build Inspiration

Hey everyone! So I have already done the build now (twice actually) and have yet to actually record it. I have been drawing inspiration from other YouTube channels, like my favorites, Linus Tech Tips and Awesomesauce News. It's more of a self conscious thing and I don't like how I look and sound on camera but I actually did a few takes of introducing my build but never really felt satisfied.

I have definitely acquired the "build bug" as I like to call it. I have lots of ideas for fun videos and fun PC builds but just not sure where to start. I'd really like to build the blog and eventually have it be more YouTube centric.

Continue to stay tuned for more reviews and videos in the near future! Thanks everyone!
